Missing Animal Response is a nonprofit organization dedicated to Lost Pet Prevention and Recovery (LPPR). We provide Missing Animal Response training for individuals who wish to become lost pet consultants (pet detectives) and Mission Reunite training for animal shelter agencies and coalitions.

Missing Animal Response mission is to use the highest ethical standards and innovative techniques to reunite lost companion animals with their owners/guardians through training, education, and partnerships.

The vision of Missing Pet Partnership is to be the most recognized and effective lost pet recovery nonprofit organization in the world.

The results of our successful work will help increase lost pet recoveries, improve search technologies, reduce shelter euthanasia rates, protect the environment from the damage stray animals can cause, provide hope to people, and alleviate the suffering of animals.

Pet Detective and Missing Animal Response Network Director Additional K9 Trainers / Presenters Include Author/Trainer Susannah Charleson (TX), Marge Lineweber (CT), Judene Dyer (ME), and Pat Simmons (FL). 



Training Event Dates

May 18 & 19 will feature classroom training.  Topics will include searcher safety, compassion fatigue, predators, complicated rescues, and other topics.  There will be an afternoon of  hands on activities.  You may choose to build a RayTripper (requires advanced registration and bringing materials) or assemble and use various traps, set up game cameras, tag cars, try a snappy snare, and other equipment.

May 20 to 22 will include dog assessment and MAR dog training for ALL levels (beginner thru advanced).  Dog training will be smallgroup so you do not have extended wait time. Training for both trailing dogs and cat detection dogs will be available.

You have the choice of attending the dog training only, the classroom training only, or BOTH. Non-MAR trained attendees are welcome.

2-day classroom training.        $140
3-day handler /1 dog training $450
2nd dog (additional fee)          $300
K9 Observer for 3 days.          $ 225

Group rate hotel accommodations have been arranged at Quality Inn Mystic for an incredibly low rate of $94+ tax per night. The $25 fee per dog per night has been waived. For additional information and to register please go to
